Theoretical and methodological principles for the development of socially oriented non-profit organizations

Subject. This article discusses socially oriented non-profit organizations as an important element of Russia's modern socioeconomic development.
Objectives. The article aims to systematize the main characteristics of socially oriented non-profit organizations and develop a system of factors affecting their functioning.
Methods. For the study, I used the methods of logical and comparative analyses.
Results. The article reveals that in the current Russian social protection system, there remain problems for socially oriented non-profit organizations of a terminological, theoretical, and legal nature. The paper demonstrates a set of internal and external factors to address them.
Conclusions. Original research in the field of theoretical support for the activities of socially-oriented non-profit organizations can complement the existing positions and methods within the academic community regarding the development of such organizations and the assessment of their strategic effectiveness.
