Subject. This article discusses the agriculture development, and food and environmental security in the Eurasian Region.
Objectives. The article aims to assess the policy on the production and use of mineral fertilizers in Russia and develop recommendations for optimizing their production and export in the Eurasian Economic Union.
Methods. For the study, we used general and specific scientific methods, and the Rosstat and the Eurasian Economic Union data.
Results. The article reveals that there is a problem of agricultural development exacerbated by the lack of a base for the production of mineral fertilizers among some members of the Union as well as limited financing.
Conclusions. The issue of ensuring food and environmental security in the Eurasian Region cannot be resolved without a coordinated adjustment of the current policies on the production and use of mineral fertilizers.

Keywords: mineral fertilizers, EAEU, production, application, differentiated technologies, smart technologies
