Subject. This article discusses the transformation of management necessary to ensure Russia's scientific sovereignty in the innovation economy. Objectives. The article aims to identify problems and propose recommendations for transforming management to ensure the country's sovereignty. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of forecasting and crisis management based on the system-information approach. Results. The article reveals ways to overcome the current management crisis in training specialists at universities to ensure Russia's scientific sovereignty in the innovation economy. Conclusions. The state's pursuit of sovereignty provides researchers with safe conditions, stability, and security for their scientific activities.
