Subject. The article addresses the intensification of economic development, motivation of labor activity.
Objectives. The study aims at critical assessment of the system of scientific management by F. Taylor from the point of view of the Russian economy development in modern geopolitical conditions.
Methods. The study draws on methods of content analysis and comparative analysis.
Results. For the Russian economy, principles of the system of scientific management advocated by F. Taylor are of fundamental importance. According to them, sluggishness in work is unacceptable, therefore, the employee's personal interest in the results of his or her work becomes relevant.
Conclusions. Increasing motivation to work will contribute to the achievement of goals related to import substitution, ensuring Russia's technological sovereignty and technological leadership.
