Subject. This article discusses the issues related to the value of human life.
Objectives. The article aims to assess the effect of electromagnetic radiation on the life expectancy of children and adolescents.
Methods. For the study, we used a methodology for assessing the average life value based on the utility theory.
Results. The article presents the results of the assessment of economic damage in the premature death of children and adolescents under the age of 19 as a result of neoplasms and diseases of the blood circulatory system.
Conclusions. It is necessary to reduce the incidence of neoplasms and diseases of the blood circulatory system, as well as increase health care costs. Reducing mortality can improve the demographic situation in the country, though the economic damage remains significant.

Keywords: economic damage, human life value, morbidity, mortality, reduction in life expectancy
