Subject. This article deals with the issues of relations between the State and business, and improving competitiveness.
Objectives. The article aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the problem of incomplete compliance of the nature of the partnership with the prevailing conditions for the functioning of the Russian and world economies. The article also aims to develop and substantiate a conceptual conservative model of cooperation between business and government.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of logical, statistical, and retrospective analyses.
Results. The article notes that to ensure a balanced development of the economy, partnership should become an important tool for long-term policies aimed at improving the technology level and competitiveness. The national goals of the Russian Federation set the general direction of cooperation.
Conclusions. The conservative model of cooperation between the State and business involves building relationship within the framework of an export-oriented strategy for the economy's development.
