Subject. This article deals with the issues of Russia's defense capability. Objectives. The article aims to analyze the economic aspects of the State Defense Order implementation. Methods. For the study, we used general scientific research methods. Results. The article offers an author-developed approach to divide the conditions for the implementation of the State Defense Order into risky and risk-free segments. Conclusions. The developed approach will help reflect the budget outlay cost in financial documents, taking into account the risky and risk-free stages of the life cycle of space and missile equipment.
