Subject This article explores the current aspects of intellectual potential in the system of ensuring the economic security of the business entity. Objectives Determining the role and impact of intellectual capacity on the economic security of the business entity, the article aims to develop a mechanism and tools to enhance economic security through effective use of intellectual capital. Methods For the study, I considered statistical data and used the methods of analysis and synthesis. Results The article describes the main stages of formation and implementation of a mechanism ensuring the economic security of the business entity through intellectual capital. Conclusions The success of any business entity depends on the level of education, qualifications and competence of the staff, who are able to respond to emerging threats in a proper way. This determines the level of sustainability of the business entity's development, where its economic security is the key factor.
