Accessibility of transportation services is one of the most important parameters defining population life quality and level of economic development. Basic challenges of the transportation network typical for Russia as a whole are formulated. Challenges of transport provision for population in High North regions are studied. The necessity to elaborate minimal transport standards in every region of the country is determined.
