The article analyzes the current state of the insurance market of Ukraine in comparison with the markets of leading countries, the level of stock market activity and its key players. The author defines the main problems of Ukrainian insurer's investment activity. The paper concludes that their decision should be linked to the expansion of financial instruments permitted for the investment of insurance reserves, the creation of a fund to guarantee payments for life insurance, deepening cooperation with insurers by asset management companies, the introduction of dual listing.
