Development of the methodology for analyzing the competitiveness of the region, taking into account the indicators of digitalization and spatial development
Subject. Integration of intellectual property into the system of project financing of industrial enterprises through financial strategizing mechanisms. Objectives. Substantiation of the possibility of using intellectual property as a strategic asset to attract project financing, as well as the development of approaches to the inclusion of intellectual property in the system of strategic priorities of the financial strategy of an industrial enterprise. Methods. The article uses the methodology of strategizing by V.L. Kvint, a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The methods of theoretical analysis, synthesis, generalization and a systematic approach are applied. The research is based on an analysis of Russian and international practices of lending secured by intellectual property, data from the World Intellectual Property Organization, analytical reviews and cases of project financing using intangible assets. Results. The strategic role of intellectual property as a tool for project financing of industrial enterprises is substantiated. The international experience and the first Russian practices of lending secured by intellectual property are analyzed. The main mechanisms for integrating intellectual property into a financial strategy (collateral, licensing, securitization, tokenization, venture debt) have been identified. The place of intellectual property in the system of strategic priorities of the financial strategy has been determined. Conclusions. The systematic inclusion of intellectual property in strategic priorities makes it possible to reduce dependence on traditional tangible assets, expand access to capital and increase the investment attractiveness of knowledge-intensive industries. The results of the research can be used by industrial enterprises and technology companies in the development of financial strategies, as well as by government agencies in the formation of mechanisms for securing intellectual property in Russia.
