Subject. The article addresses the development of innovation infrastructure of Russian universities and its impact on the transformation of universities.
Objectives. The aim is to analyze the impact of innovation infrastructure of Russian universities on their success in the strategic academic leadership program "Priority 2030", to formulate recommendations for improving the effectiveness of innovation potential of universities.
Methods. The study rests on standard statistical methods, including correlation and regression analysis. We used empirical data from 100 universities participating in the "Priority 2030" Program in 2023 to build a model that ensured the representativeness of results.
Results. The overall rating of the inventive activity index of Russian universities and availability of a technology transfer center and a startup studio have the greatest impact on the final score in the "Priority 2030" Program. The developed model demonstrates moderate positive relationship (correlation coefficient 0.68) and explains 46% of the variation in the dependent variable, confirming its statistical significance (Fischer's F-test 40.9).
Conclusions. Availability and effective functioning of technology transfer centers and startup studios is not only a key element of university's internal innovation infrastructure, but also an essential success factor in achieving high results in the "Priority 2030" Program. It also helps attract more grant funds and increase the importance of the university's contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists and to the development of the national innovation system.
