Subject. The article addresses the corporate intertemporal choice of Russian public companies. Objectives. The study aims to investigate factors influencing the corporate intertemporal choice, indicators for assessing the durability of business strategies, and to analyze the intertemporal choice of the largest Russian public companies. Methods. I apply methods of analysis, synthesis, economic modeling, systematization and generalization of the obtained results. Results. The paper analyzed the main factors determining the corporate intertemporal choice, investigated factors hindering the long-term choice of Russian companies. I developed a six-stage methodology to assess the corporate intertemporal choice based on consolidated financial statements and market capitalization of companies. Conclusions. The study demonstrated that the information technology, electronics and telecommunications industries have the highest ratings of the indicator of intertemporal choice, showing the long-term choice of companies. Industries of previous technological structures, including the oil and gas, and the mining industry, have low indicators. The calculation results indicate that there are signs of a change in the structure of the Russian economy: a decrease in the share of outgoing technological structures and an increase in the share of new ones.
