Subject. The article addresses the state of managing the green projects in Russian companies.
Objectives. The purpose is to investigate the specifics of implementation and application of management principles in the field of green project management in Russia.
Methods. We employed methods of statistical and logical analysis to evaluate the experience of Russian companies in implementing green projects, and used data from the companies' websites.
Results. The sustainability of industrial enterprises largely depends on the level of readiness and reliability of the Russian digital infrastructure and availability of software. Therefore, investigating the dynamics of the use of digital technologies in industry may indicate the level of digital transformation, that is, qualitative changes in the industry. This study enabled to better understand the features and trends in managing green projects in Russian companies, and offer practical recommendations on integrating GPM into business processes.
Conclusions. Exploring this topic is of interest for devising strategies and methods to improve the practices of implementing the principles of sustainable development in project management through the greatest dissemination of digital tools. The performance of such projects and their effective management is impossible without the use of modern digital technologies.
