Subject The article assesses the efficiency regional measures implemented to support industrial enterprises.
Objectives The study focuses on defining areas of analysis and indicators of efficiency of measures taken to support industrial enterprises, detecting bottlenecks, and devising measures to increase the efficiency of industrial policy implementation in regions.
Methods The study employs methods of comparative and factor analysis.
Results I considered modern trends in industrial regions of the Big Ural area, analyzed the condition of, and changes in the development of industrial complex of the Sverdlovsk oblast as compared to other regions. The paper substantiates that increase in output and break-even operation should be considered as tactical tasks of domestic industrial enterprises. It offers directions, methods and mechanisms of regional support to industrial enterprises that provide for rational use of the potential of industrial regions.
Conclusions When developing a qualitatively new regional industrial policy, it is crucial to take into account the assessment of measures of government support to enterprises, and revealed possibilities of their adjustment.
