In the article the scale and the importance of environmental problems of Khanty-Mansi autonomous area is considered. Authors developed the technique of the ecological analysis. The main results of the carried-out analysis of an ecological situation in the region are revealed, value, a place and a role of use of foreign experience in the part of ecological policy is defined..
