On the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Gold produces about 90 years old, but the regional problems involved in gold mining, the need to stabilize and improve the socio-economic situation of the northern regions, where mining is the main industry here, inadequate and require detailed research. Effective development of gold mining should be the development of transport, energy and social infrastructure, improve the well-being of the population, especially in the depressed northern areas. The article offers a methodical approach to assessing the impact of gold mining on the socio-economic development of municipalities in the region.
