In the article the results of the analysis of the investment situation which has developed in economy of the Republic North Ossetia - Alania in 2009-2011 are presented. Authors revealed the positive tendencies of development of the region, and the main problem areas are formulated. In the article measures for improvement of the institutional mechanism of realization of investment policy in the region are offered.
