In the article scientific approaches to an assessment of influence of innovations on structure and dynamics of growth of a national economy are investigated in Russia and abroad, and the key role of innovations in ensuring the forward and balanced development of the state, increase of level of its international competitiveness, expansion of financial possibilities for modernization and diversification of national economy are revealed.
