The factors of corporate behavior in corporate governance

Importance The article considers the influence of corporate behavior on the effectiveness of the company's activities, its investment attractiveness, and satisfaction of the employees.
Objectives The paper aims to identify and evaluate the impact of corporate behavior on the effectiveness and investment attractiveness of companies in different countries, as well as employee satisfaction.
Methods For the study, I used a comparative analysis, ranking, classification, formation of ratings based on a sociological survey.
Results The paper justifies the influence of corporate behavior on the company's investment attractiveness.
Conclusions The conclusions are about how corporate behavior directly affects the labor quality and value of the company.


Contemporary issues of corporate governance in the Russian Federation

Importance The paper studies problems and factors that had a direct or indirect impact on the formation and functioning of corporate governance in the Russian Federation.
     Objectives The aim is to identify the most significant problems, their root causes, to describe their influence on corporate governance and provide practical recommendations for further work on solutions.
     Methods In the study, I employ the comparative analysis of data from open sources, the method of interpretation of results of various opinion polls and surveys.
     Results The outcome is the formation of the key position on addressing the causes of low efficiency of corporate structures in the Russian Federation.
     Conclusions and Relevance There is no ideal Russian model of corporate governance yet. The model should have clear and measurable performance indicators, rely on professionalism of the staff and segregation of duties. The judgment of corporate governance participants should create and maintain a perfect balance of the center of power.


A comparative analysis of Russian and foreign corporate governance models

Importance The article discusses the issues of genesis of the Russian corporate governance model under the influence of economic conditions.
Objectives The article aims to identify the specific characteristics of the Russian corporate governance model.
Methods For the study, I used a systems approach and monograph method.
Results I revealed the extent of influence of foreign models of corporate governance on the formation of the Russian model. I present recommendations for the further development of corporate governance practices in the Russian Federation.
Conclusions The Russian model is a symbiosis of the existing models of corporate governance, because it was originally focused on the Anglo-Saxon model, but under the influence of economic and institutional conditions, it got transformed into a model of corporate governance that is similar to the German model. As the main direction of development of the Russian model of corporate governance at the local level, I propose the PhICS model that is focused on key indicators of the company's development and that responds flexibly to changes in activities of the enterprise.


An action plan to protect and strengthen corporate governance practices in Russian corporations

Subject The article considers the corporate governance implementation in Russia under modern conditions and evaluates its efficiency.
Objectives The aim is to identify key areas for strengthening and developing the corporate governance practices in Russian companies that will enable to improve the existing corporate governance model.
Methods The study draws on comparative analysis, ranking, classification, formation of ratings on the basis of sociological surveys.
Results The paper includes recommendations on creating a single standard to assess corporate government practices, which should involve three parties, i.e. the business, rating agencies and the State, and consider their interests. I offer a methodology for overall assessment of components investigated by rating agencies that may help investors understand the business activity of companies.
Conclusions Public companies and State-owned corporations demonstrate the best results in the sphere of corporate governance. It is critical to enhance corporate governance in Russia, which implies developing the corporate legislation, improving the law enforcement practice. Companies should be willing to take measures to perfect corporate governance.


Developing the models of Russian corporate social responsibility: Evidence from a large corporation

Importance The article addresses the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on the performance of a large corporation, its investment appeal and employee satisfaction, and touches upon a wide variety of economic, social and ethical issues.
Objectives The purpose of the study is to find weaknesses of the Russian CSR model, identify areas of its development and give practical recommendations for further improvement of the corporate social responsibility strategy.
Methods In the research, I employed a comparative analysis of data from open sources, segmentation of data and interpretation of findings of various economic studies.
Results The paper presents a brief review of opinions of foreign economists, highlights principal characteristics of foreign models and their weaknesses, refines specifics of promising projects of Russian corporate social responsibility.
Conclusions Corporate social responsibility not only improves economic added value but also acts as an indicator of ethical and responsible attitude of a corporation towards the world. The future development of CSR should be focused on internal environment, rather than the external one. The draft CSR strategy for Russia should be consistent with its national social policy.
