In the article the approach to the economic security of South Korea in the global financial and economic crisis is analyzed. On the basis of the comparative analysis of efficiency of the anti-recessionary measures realized in this country the conclusion is drawn that they were the effective tool for overcoming of the sharpest phase of world crisis.

Importance The article discusses prospects of change in the economic security of Japan, while it participates in the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Objectives The research represents a comparative evaluation of economic security of Japan and member countries of the Trans-Pacific Partnership as part of economic patronage of governments and central banks of the countries.
Methods The research reviews Japan’s economic security indicators. Using statistical and econometric methods, I evaluated how economic security of Japan might change as part of economic patronage of the government and Central Bank of the country.
Results The article proposes an approach to a comparative evaluation of changes in economic security of Japan and member countries of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The approach facilitates identifying priorities of the national government’s economic policies under the current circumstances.
Conclusions and Relevance The economic security level of Japan can be presented as multiplicands describing whether its national economy is protected. I conclude that the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement should set forth new regulations of global trade, suggest new standards, considering new trends in global development, and increasing the economic security level of Japan and other member countries of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.


A possible approach to comparative evaluation of the economic power of advanced and developing countries

Importance The article examines the approach to a comparative evaluation of the economic power of the leading industrially developed and developing countries.
Objectives The research compares and evaluates the economic power of the leading industrially developed and developing countries.
Methods The research focuses on the key economic power indicators of developed (developing) States. Based on statistical and econometric methods, I assess retrospects and prospects of changes in the economic power of China, USA, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, Western Europe, India, Russia/USSR.
Results I propose an approach to a comparative evaluation of the economic power of the leading industrially developed and developing countries. I also analyze how the production of certain products (work, services) is significant for the economic power of the leading States in the current circumstances.
Conclusions and Relevance The economic power of the leading States can be presented as the percentage of their gross domestic product in the global gross product. Considering imperatives of the scientific and technological revolution, it is still important to timely increment the production of innovative products (services, work). Such priorities of technological development can be identified using the proposed approach to a comparative evaluation of the economic power of the leading industrially developed and developing countries.


The Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a platform for dialogue on regional security

Importance The article assesses the adequacy and effectiveness of the existing structures and models of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as a platform to discuss the regional security issues, trends in the political, military and economic situation in Central Asia.
     Objectives The research seeks to assess the compliance and efficiency of the existing structures and models of the SCO development in order to identify areas for improving its performance for socio-political and socio-economic development of the members and ensuring the regional security in Central Asia.
     Methods
The research analyzes interests of the political actors in Central Asia. Using political and economic analysis methods, I evaluate SCO's development prospects as the leading organization that ensures the region's political, economic and military security.
     Results I suggest evaluating the existing structures and models of the SCO development as a platform for a dialogue on regional security issues that correlate with political, military and economic trends in Central Asia. I reviewed interests and approaches of the SCO members and observers and other countries in ensuring their own security. The proposed approach allows identifying priorities of the region's socio-political and socio-economic development.
     Conclusions and Relevance Whereas Russia implements it Eurasian mission, ensuring the regional security of Central Asia remains a priority. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization and its structures may facilitate ensuring the regional security of Central Asia.


Ensuring the U.S. economic security as part of global integration projects

Importance The article examines the approach to evaluating the level of the U.S. economic security as part of the U.S. involvement in the Trans-Pacific Partnership. I also review how the U.S. economic security might change during the 2007–2009 financial and economic crisis and onward, assuming that, as a multilateral agreement, the TPP reflects regionalization processes in Asia Pacific.
Objectives The research represents a comparative evaluation of the economic security in the USA and the TPP member countries as a result of crisis-management and post-crisis measures undertaken by respective governments and central banks.
Methods The research substantiates the approach to evaluating the U.S. economic security from external and internal threats as part of various forms of the national economy security during the globalization.
Results I propose my own approach to a comparative evaluation of changes in the economic security of the USA and TPP countries as part of anti-crisis and post-crisis measures undertaken by respective governments and central banks.
Conclusions and Relevance The U.S. economic security from external and internal threats can be represented as multiplicands describing the protection of its national security as a result of the economic patronage of the federal government and Federal Reserve System. I conclude that the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement will allow to change the economic security level of its members.


The initiative of the Silk Road Economic Belt: Ensuring Russia's economic security. Economic patronage of the Government and the Central Bank

Importance The article discusses how Russia's economic security would change if the initiative of the Silk Road Economic Belt were implemented.
Objectives The research represents a comparative evaluation of the economic security level of Russia and the member States of the SCO as part of economic patronage of the governments and central banks of the States.
Methods The article overviews indicators of Russia's economic security. Using statistical and economic methods, I evaluate prospects of changes in the level of Russia’s economic security as part of economic patronage of the Russian government and Central Bank of Russia.
Results I propose an approach to performing a comparative evaluation of changes in the economic security level of Russia and the member States of the SCO as part of the economic patronage of the governments and central banks in the States. The proposed approach will identify priorities of the national economic policy in the current circumstances.
Conclusions and Relevance I conclude that the implementation of the Silk Road Economic Belt initiative may reflect the regionalization process in Central Asia and ensure sustainable development of national economies of Russia and the SCO members. The level of Russia’s economic security can be represented as multiplicands describing the protection of its national economy as part of the economic patronage of the Government and the Central Bank of Russia.
