Importance The research studies whether the sourcing practice could be appropriate to increase the financial sustainability of the industrial enterprise by changing resource distribution and use model.
Objectives The research pursues improving the financial position of the entity by applying the model of sourcing maneuver. We also outline proposals to improve the financial position of the entity.
Methods The research relies upon the model of sourcing maneuver, i.e. delivery of outsourcing services, thus putting additional load to production areas. We articulated our proposals for improvement of the financial position through the direct costing method.
Results The article presents our proposals for improving the financial position of the industrial enterprise by changing the sourcing model.
Conclusions and Relevance Whereas the proposals for improving the financial position of the industrial enterprise are based on the sourcing maneuver, it means that further studies into methodological approaches for managerial decision making will have big significance. The findings can be useful for further researches into the economy of sourcing and direct costing development. They can be also helpful for heads of financial and economic departments of large industrial enterprises.

Importance The article discusses possible scenarios for restructuring of the production areas of a large industrial enterprise through the application of certain sourcing models, outsourcing and sourcing maneuver model, in particular, to increase resilience to unfavorable market changes.
Objectives The article aims to evaluate the impact of enterprise floor space restructuring on the break-even point position through sourcing models.
Methods For the study, we used the restructuring outsourcing and sourcing-maneuver models. To evaluate the impact of the models on the enterprise's break-even point, we used the direct costing system.
Results The article describes a scenario for restructuring the production area through outsourcing and sourcing maneuver models. It notes the positive influence of restructuring sourcing on the enterprise's break-even point.
Conclusions and Relevance The development of various scenarios of restructuring of the production areas of large industrial enterprises through the application of sourcing models and changes in the product cost structure is a promising scientific direction, as it allows for sound methodological approaches to decision-making. The results of the work can be useful for further scientific research in this area as well as for making management decisions at the enterprise.

Journal: National interests: priorities and security, #8, 2016

Importance The article discusses the issues of application of production sourcing models in the management of restructuring major Russian machine-building enterprises or constructing industrial clusters.
Objectives The paper aims to develop a methodology for assessing the appropriateness of production sourcing models at industrial enterprises.
Methods To develop the methodology, we used a matrix approach.
Results We have developed and now present the methodology for assessing the appropriateness of production sourcing models at industrial enterprises. As well we show the essence of the productive co-sourcing and its role in the management of industrial enterprise.
Conclusions and Relevance One of the key criteria for successful sourcing strategies when restructuring major machine-building enterprises or constructing industrial clusters, is the proper determination of the degree of usefulness of each model of sourcing. The proposed methods of evaluation of the feasibility of production outsourcing, in-sourcing and co-sourcing is designed to meet the produce-and/or-purchase challenge. Despite the fact that the technique does not cover the full diversity of opportunities to apply the co-sourcing, it allows defining some important situations where it is economically and strategically advisable to attract resources and competence of the co-sourcing company.

Importance The article discusses the patterns, forms and types of sourcing that there are applied in practice and the new ones. Each of the existing sourcing models has its advantages, disadvantages and area of application. There is a variety of methods and techniques to assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of the application of one or another model of sourcing. So it is actual to develop reliable methods of economic evaluation of the application of sourcing models of various types.
Objectives The paper aims to provide insight into the essence of the integrated model of sourcing maneuver and develop a methodology for assessing the economic benefits from the use of this model.
Methods For the study, we used an analysis of changes in production marginal profit.
Results We show the essence of the integrated model of sourcing maneuver and present a developed methodology for assessing the economic impact of the application of this model.
Conclusions and Relevance The approach used in developing this methodology is also relevant when building a similar technique for evaluating the economic impact of the use of other forms and types of integrated model of sourcing maneuver. However, this approach is not the only one possible.

Importance Nowadays one of the main problems of Russian industrial enterprises is huge production areas generating high overhead costs which determine high level of break-even operation. One of effective tools that increase competitiveness of an enterprise is the sourcing maneuver model. However, as any other business tool, a sourcing maneuver may diminish competitive advantages of a company in the event of misapplication. Therefore, the major factor in making decisions on applying the sourcing maneuver model is an adequately made economic evaluation.
Objectives The objectives of the study is to consider the sourcing maneuver model application at industrial enterprises for effective restructuring of production areas and to present some methods of assessing the economic effect of the model application.
Methods Based on the "direct-costing" system and the analysis of change in the marginal profit of production, we have presented two methods of assessing the economic effect of the sourcing maneuver model application.
Results We have developed two methods of assessing the economic effect of the sourcing maneuver model application.
Conclusions The presented methods are not the only possible ones, and they are not universal for assessing all existing sourcing maneuver models.
