Importance The article deals with the issues of employment of the population of the region introducing new forms of self-employment, analyzing and grouping the regions of the Siberian Federal District by economic activity rate.
Objectives The article aims to investigate the problem of employment of the population of the Tyva Republic in order to prevent unemployment taking into account technological changes in the economy.
Methods For the study, I used the methods of dynamics, comparison, and grouping.
Results The labor market is an essential component of the socio-economic development of the Tyva Republic. One of the main disadvantages of the region's labor market is the lack of qualified personnel and mobility of the labor force.
Conclusions The article concludes that it is necessary to overcome the existing negative tendencies in the development of social and labor relations and the sphere of employment of the population. The activation of new forms of employment and self-employment shall lead to significant changes in the capacity of the population's labor abilities.
