Objectives Considering the domestic and foreign experience, the paper aims to analyze theoretical, methodological and practical provisions to improve the investment performance of the region's economy with a view to creating conditions for sustained growth and development of the regional economic system.
Methods For the study, we used analytical and synthesis, economic and statistical, modeling, dialectical, expert assessment methods, and the methods of comparative analysis.
Results The paper presents the results of the investment analysis of the region's economy and a developed investment strategy for the region's economy with an improved investment management mechanism at different hierarchical levels.
Relevance The main points and conclusions of our study can be used for further scientific analysis and development of investment management practices in the modern economy of Russia.
