Subject The paper discusses the prospects of organization of leisure of young people in rural areas, and specifically in eco-settlements.
Objectives The paper aimed to define recreation areas, urban youth intended to travel to last summer.
Methods For the study, I used a multiple-choice survey among students of economic disciplines of the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute, topic: Where do I go to have a rest this summer? Used two methods of Multiple-Choice Questioning: multiple answers – by distributing 100 percent of preference among the offered options; and single, or clear answer – by choosing only one option. On the basis of the received results, I calculated the arithmetic mean value and determined the opinion of the majority of the questioned.
Results The paper proposes the results obtained.
Conclusions Ecovillages, as objects of rural and ecological tourism, can be interesting not to local young people but to visitors to our country. Therefore, when designing such objects, the specialists involved must initially focus their activities on inbound tourism, not the internal one. I encourage to develop the educational use of ecosettlements as objects of international tourism.
