Importance The effective development of the sector of public goods is a particularly relevant theme in a crisis situation both in the domestic and global economies.
Objectives The aim of the study is to determine the spatial accessibility of public goods that form the social infrastructure of urban areas. The paper reveals the essence of the concept and structure of the social infrastructure of municipalities.
Methods To assess the spatial accessibility of public goods in different territories, we formulated and verified a number of hypotheses. To process the obtained data, we used the econometric analysis methods.
Results The findings allowed us to determine the regularities characterizing the availability of public goods and social infrastructure of municipalities. We present certain recommendations for the development of accessibility of social objects in the studied territories.
Conclusions and Relevance We concluded that the level of development of a local public sector is proportional to the level of social satisfaction of the population, and the size of a locality (by population) is inversely proportional to the degree of accessibility of a social infrastructure object. The results obtained can be used to develop recommendations for State authorities to develop the social infrastructure in municipalities and increasing the social attractiveness.
