The article notes that the Eurasian metaregion draws nowadays great attention due to many factors, like rich natural resources, strategic and geopolitical situation, interlacement of different cultures and traditions. The region studied includes such countries as Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Iran. The spirits market of these countries is of a particular interest. The necessity and significance of regulation of the spirits sector of any consumer market are obvious. This is due to the special biochemical and other characteristics of spirit, and its specific "role" in the modern society's life. For this reason, plenty of the home and foreign scientists publish a great number of their works on the issue of government regulation of the spirits market and its parts, theoretical and methodological basics, tools and mechanisms for such regulation. Still, there is a certain shortage, and we may say even lack of works that study the spirits market of the Eurasian metaregion. This fact gave rise to the present study of the mechanisms for government regulation of the spirits market in the countries of this area.
