In the article the research of medico-demographic processes in the regions of Russia by a method of the regression analysis according to panel data is presented. It is shown that the regression model with the fixed effects allows receiving reasonable option of modeling which can be used for an assessment of the main demographic indicator - expected life expectancy in the country depending on indicators of its social and economic development, qualities of medical care and a factor of a social stress.
