Theoretical aspects of estimation of quality of economic space

In the article the concept "space" is opened and specified, its contents from the point of view of regional economy is defined. Existence of a problem of weak readiness in the modern economic science of complex system of criteria of an assessment of quality of economic space of the region is noted. It is proved that available macroeconomic indicators and general information about the region don't allow to open degree of a saturation of its territory objects of production, production infrastructure and reasonably to define the directions of its development
