Twenty years of a new way of Russia: macroeconomic and regional development alternatives

Analysis of the way passed by sovereign Russia after the USSR disintegration showed that the chosen version of the transformational transition from a centrally regulated society model of the domestic economy to a market-regulated one was burdened with the unprecedented destructive effect (typical for the revolutionary process model) and with the involution effect of «historical rollback», predetermined its content as a quasi-reform. An alternative transformation variant implemented in China was that «the maintenance of advantages of the socially oriented planned economy, capturing the market self-regulation instruments step by step.
