Ecology-economic estimation of the cost of forest resource of the Volgograd region

The concept of the general economic cost is perspective with standpoint of the approach to estimation of the nature and account not only direct resource functions, but also assimilation function, natural services. In article it is given feature of forest management in the Volgograd region, it is shown the structure of the forest income, the main functions of forest resource are revealed. The calculation of the general economic cost of the forest resource is presented. A conclusion is made about the importance of environment- forming and social function of forests
