The main approaches to determining the term productive potential of the agricultural organizations are presented in the article. The element wise structure of the productive potential of the agricultural enterprises of crop production and cattle production is revealed in the scientific work. It is of current importance at a present stage of the development of market relationships, when it is observed the widening of the number of different kinds of resources involved in production with the increasing limitation of them at the same time.
