Cartelizing processes in the Russian economy while addressing the issues of the national economic security strategy

Importance Currently, unlawful activities of cartels pose a serious threat to the national economic security and further socio-economic development of the Russian Federation. The existing situation necessitates a comprehensive solution, active and consistent cooperation of governmental authorities and the civic society in order to counter carters.
Objectives The research analyzes the current situation in the Russian economy so to identify and assess the cartelizing threat and find key counteraction approaches.
Methods The article overviews official statistics on violation of the anti-trust law. I systematize legislative amendments concerning the improvement of measures for countering cartels and economic monopolization. The article summarizes recommendations ministries, agencies, public associations make to counter cartels. Analyzing court practices, effective laws, current economic situation in Russia, scientific proceedings, I find key approaches and measures to tackle cartelizing processes.
Results I demonstrate that Russia's economy is significantly exposed to cartelizing processes. It is important to proceed with raising the competition in Russia and outlining a set of measures against cartels.
Conclusions and Relevance The article highlights key directions and measures for developing the healthy competition in Russia and countering the cartelizing process. The findings can prove useful for governmental authorities to outline what should be undertaken to combat unlawful activities of cartels. The materials can be used in researchers.
