Importance The article focuses on antitrust authorities and their performance for increasing economic security. Objectives The research aggregated fragmented data in publicly available sources so to generate the comprehensive body of knowledge for better understanding of a correlation among performance indicators of the Federal Antimonopoly Service and economic security of the Russian Federation. Methods Using econometric and statistical methods, I analyzed aspects reflecting how performance indicators of antimonopoly authorities influenced the economic security nationwide. Results The article presents analytical data reflecting performance indicators of the antimonopoly agency of the Russian Federation as compared with foreign ones. Conclusions and Relevance Comparing key performance indicators of antimonopoly authorities, it is possible to see that other countries use similar performance indicators. Performance indicators can be appraised only in line with those institutional, legislative and political restrictions, which relate to authorities charged with competition policy matters. The findings apply to researches for students and teachers. Materials and conclusions can also be used as recommendations for enterprises and public organizations of the Russian Federation.
