Importance The USA strives to keep its leading geopolitical role at any price but benefiting at the expense of other countries, thus making the current political situation aggravated so that it almost pushed the world to the border of abyss. In this respect, to protect the national security of Russia, it is necessary to conduct a detailed analysis of economic, military, political risk and threat origination mechanisms, in particular, on the part of the USA, rather than specifying the entire combination of the said risks and threats.
     Methods
Based on the methodological framework of contemporary institutionalism, the article examines the substance, principal aspects and specifics of the postmodern society originating in the USA. The research discovers why the USA outperforms the other countries so much from technological, social and economic perspectives. I also analyze driving forces and the mechanism for establishing a corporatocratic State that generates an aggressive and globalist economic and political strategy, considering implications and consequences of the strategy.
     Results
Using the methods of an institutional analysis, I corroborate a hypothesis on that the USA, as the most economically advanced country of the world that had reached the postmodern (governmental and monopolistic) phase of the society, converted into a corporatocratic State. I demonstrate that the corporatocratic State represents a combination of economic (first of all, political power of the largest monopolies and supranational elites) and political powers of governmental officials, which are supported by the obedient army of mass media and public opinion they manipulate to make it serve globalist interests of the US powers that be.
     Conclusions and Relevance
If the corporatocratic United States strengthens domestically, it will lead to even higher profanation of the democratic principles and their actual substitution with totalitarian institutions, while, in foreign policy, the United States will regain the global power and leadership through their aggressive and globalist concepts.

Keywords: institutionalism, post-modern society, corporatocratic State, new technological mode, global leadership
