Modernization of Russian economy: main approaches

In the article the main approaches to the content of modernization, identified their strengths and weaknesses are described. It is concluded that modernization should be based on an integrative approach, which includes three components: the development of innovative, technology adoption, and effective implementation of the earlier technologies and mechanisms. The growing role of innovation clusters in the course of modernization, revealed their distinctive features is revealed.
