Prospects of Russian strategy in North - East Asia in the XXI century

In the article the importance of North-East Asia to Russia's national interests, its strengths and weaknesses in the sub-region are analyzed. Regional challenges and risks to the national interests of the Russian Federation are defined. Possible directions of its strategy in the XXI century in order to strengthen its role in Northeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region are offered.
