In article are discussed conception of informational development of regional economic system, milestones and peculiarities of information reproduction in different stages of its lifecycle, methodological substantiations of complex system of informational region development monitoring including comparative and descriptive analysis, multiple-factor estimation of efficacy in terms of the extensive and intensive indicators, rating positioning of regions in informational development level. Approbation of theoretical conceptions and models was effectuated in example of informational processes in regions of Southern Federal District.
