Transformational changes in economic space at mega level of the global economic system make researches of contemporary forms of economic organization of the society urgent. There are the following forms among them: formation of mega regions performing global functions, including those based on large and extra large cities (megacities); as well as creation of mega science centers referred to investment mega projects in accordance with their complexity, systemic character of current tasks, and high resource input and importance for level-based developing of social economic system. Emerging new forms of spatial organization of the global economic system relevant to the current transformational processes contribute to its diversity and sustainability. Therefore creating conditions and incentives for their effective performance is becoming an important direction of economic and scientific and technical policy of globalizing economy countries.
