The article considers the problem of government debt management performance evaluation based on relative indicators characterizing the level of socio-economic development and State debt. The authors propose the method of comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of debt management through the establishment of standardized on the basis of determining the weights revealed a close relationship between the socio-economic situation of the country and the public debt.
