Importance The research evaluates the State intervention in the economy of the Russian Federation.
Objectives The research summarizes fragmented data in publicly available sources to build the body of knowledge and subsequently understand how business and the State relate, and forecast the further development and implications for businesses.
Methods Using econometric and statistical methods, I analyzed aspects reflecting how the crisis influences the extent to which the State intervenes into the Russian economy.
Results The article presents analytical information on indicators of the State’s interference into the Russian economy, and identifies possible development trends.
Conclusions and Relevance The economic rationale for privatization is disputable during the restructuring process. The article mentions some reasons for that. There is a disparity between demand for public assets and their supply. It generally means that the State intends to have its assets privatized and replenish its budget during its acute deficit, rather than sell the assets at their highest value, thus increasing the efficiency of property management. The results apply to researches of students, post-graduates, teachers and managers in public institutions, profit-making and professional organizations.
