The article deals with the budgetary subsidies and public-transport fares which are the main sources to finance any city passenger transport at the present time. The author proposes the ways to reduce the level of budgetary subsidizing, and he constructs some mathematical models of the fare optimum tariffing and makes the appropriate calculations for the city of Perm.
